Cheesy pork patties

Ingredients

  • 300g chopped pork meat
  • 3 big red onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoon Japanese breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon corn flour

Steps

  1. Cut and slice 3 big red onions and steam for about 25-30 mins at medium heat, it will get about 1/4 cup of onion juice. Rest aside to cool.
  2. Chopped the meat and marinated overnight in fridge with 1/4 cup onion juice and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  3. Mix well beaten egg, meat, basil, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs and corn flour.
  4. Form shape and put in the freezer for 15 mins in order to let the shape get firm.
  5. Heat some oil on the pan and grill 10 mins (each side about 5 mins) at medium heat or till golden brown.
