Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- Half whole chicken cut in chunks (marinate overnight with 2 tablespoon homemade chicken stock powder, 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil and 1/2 teaspoon of salt)
- 1 medium onion
- 1 piece small ginger
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 350 ml water with 2 tablespoon homemade chicken stock powder
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/2 tablespoon(s) fresh lemon juice
Steps
- Add all purpose flour to marinated chicken chunks.
- Heat some oil and pan fried the chicken for about 8-10 mins till a bit brown, then transfer chicken to a plate.
- Stirred fry onion, ginger and cinnamon stick till onion soften.
- Pour the chicken back to the pot, add in 350ml chicken stock powder liquid and sweet potatoes.
- Bring to boil then turn to low heat and simmer for about 15 mins.
- Discharged cinnamon stick and ginger, then add in lemon juice before serve.
